“You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar

This month I come to you with
two (actually) THREE opportunities to help someone in your network get something that will greatly benefit them, personally and professionally.
I hope you will take a moment to consider:
Who do you know who...would benefit from the Flagship experience?
#1 - This is the time of year that we begin building the next Best Class of Flagship participants. Now, more than ever, it is critical that we develop informed and connected leaders at the local level. If you have graduated from LAA's Flagship program, I hope you will take a moment to consider who in your network would benefit from participating in the next class. Can you inspire them to apply? The application deadline is March 31 so now is the time to share your experience and give them the nudge they might need to take the leap.

#2 - There are some potential candidates who need more than a nudge, perhaps they need a little assistance with Flagship tuition. While LAA is proud to be offer a high quality program experience for a fraction of the cost of comparable programs in surrounding counties, not everyone can afford the full tuition. That's why LAA recently launched a Tuition Assistance campaign to raise funds to support the participation of a diverse cohort of Flagship participants.
If you value your own Flagship experience, would you consider paying to forward with a donation to the LAA Tuition Assistance Fund? Any amount is helpful and appreciated!

Who do you know who...stepped into a leadership role in Anne Arundel County over the last year?
#3 - Every spring, Leadership Anne Arundel honors new leaders who serve and show exceptional leadership for the betterment of Anne Arundel County. Every year at this time we ask our community to nominate leaders who are newly accepted, selected, appointed, or elected to an executive position, between March 2024 - March 2025. The individual should be in a leadership role that serves and/or impacts the Anne Arundel County Community. The position can be held in a Non-Profit, Government or For-Profit organization. The individual does not need to be a LAA graduate.
All Honorees will be recognized at the annual New Leaders Celebration which will be held at Carrol’s Creek Cafe on Wednesday April 30, 2025. The deadline to nominate a New Leader is March 14, 2025.

I hope you will begin this New Year by helping someone else in your network and that you leverage LAA opportunities to do so! After all, the rising tide raises all boats!
