How to Help #LocalLeaders during COVID-19 7 K. Shock REQUEST FOR SUPPORT – PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT  Hospice of the Chesapeake is making every effort to secure the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) we need to care for our patients and families and the safety of our staff. Our daily census has just climbed to an all-time high of 500 patients/day.  These are the most vulnerable individuals and we must ensure their utmost care in taking all available safety measures. Our staff serve patients in daily visits to their homes and residential communities and must have access to PPE to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 of patients, their caregivers and family members.  Surgical masks are required when visiting any patient, and they must be combined with N95 masks, bonnets and facial screens when caring for patients who have been exposed to/are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. We are in need of: ·       N95 masks o   Small= 100 o   Medium= 300 o   Large= 50 ·       Surgical masks ·       Bonnets ·       Facial screens ·       Goggles o   100 ·       Gloves o   Any size you can supply If you can help with any of these items, please contact: Shauna A.S.
