Leadership Fellows

Raise Your Leadership Quotient: Leadership 2.0

LAA now offers a program that will help you take your Leadership skills to a whole new level. This is a graduate program open only to people who have completed FLG, ELS or NLA. It's an intensive, but fun
environment, led by leadership experts and engaging some of our best and brightest leaders.

There is no better way to learn leadership than to tackle a real problem – an issue that requires business, government and community working together to craft and implement a solution. This program kicks off with a Friday, Saturday retreat, then meets 6 more times, for 4 hour, evening sessions. It's part "Think Tank", part “Leadership Laboratory”. You're working on real issues and you have access to the real leaders that can make things happen.

At the same time, Leadership experts are coaching you and your approach – helping you examine how Leadership really works and how different personalities approach it. Everyone has natural Leadership strengths and weaknesses. The key is to recognize and play to your strengths, but also to identify and improve on your weaknesses. This is a unique opportunity to both make things happen and to examine the process at the same time.

You will have the real input of government and business leaders, but you and your group are in
complete control of the outcomes. YOU will craft a strategy to solve the issue, and you will decide
how it is presented and taken to the next level for implementation or consideration.

The Fellows class answers what's next after your LAA program; it's an opportunity for you to engage the proactive leadership skills you sharpened by way of undertaking a real community challenge for the good of the shared ground we call Anne Arundel county.

Work on a real community issue

A real “gap” is identified, but the approach to solving the problem is entirely up to you.

You'll have access to high level county, city & state officials

We have the backing of our government leaders and they will meet with you, give you their insights on the
challenges and what government can potentially do to help.

Interact with leaders from some of the county's key, major employers

These issues are important to our business leaders – they will also participate and offer their ideas and insight.
You will understand their perspective, their interests, and where you can expect their support.

A chance to make a true difference in Anne Arundel County.

Paralegal, FLG 05

The rest is up to you – and your leadership coaches.
