Patrick M. Lee, Executive Director
A graduate of LAA’s Flagship Class of 2002, Lee has an extensive
background in organizational development, strategic planning, and analysis of
operational and financial systems for various organizations. He served as Interim
Executive Director from August 2008 to June 2009. In his short time in that position,
Patrick worked closely with board committees and staff to revise program curriculum
resulting in improved evaluation scores, restructured recruiting resulting in an increase
in applications, broadened outreach efforts to include alumni, and improved the
organization’s infrastructure to ensure greater operational efficiency. He also served as
President of LAA’s Board of Directors from 2006 to 2008, and was the first Board
President to be elected to a second one-year term. Patrick has served on a number of
LAA committees, including the Strategic Planning Committee, the Program Committee
and the Marketing Committee.
Lee is also co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of the Eastern Veterinary
Blood Bank, the second largest veterinary blood donor operation in the country. He has
a Bachelor’s degree from Earlham College and a Master’s degree in management from
the College of Notre Dame of Maryland.
Kathleen Nieberding Temprine, Director of Development
As Director of Development, Kathy is responsible for raising funds for LAA's Executive Leadership Series, Flagship and Neighborhood Leadership Academy programs. Also, she will secure sponsorships for LAA's three signature events: Homecoming, the Community Trustee Awards and the Tribute to Community Leadership. The position was added during LAA's 15th anniversary to help the organization grow and to meet the changing needs of its graduates and members.
Kathy Nieberding Temprine is a well-known and successful political fundraiser and campaign manager for the Mayor, County and City officials, and teachers. She is a prominent charitable fundraiser and is a co-founder of the Annapolis Community Foundation, a resource for local philanthropy. She served as Government Relations Director for the City of Annapolis and was a 15-year lobbyist for civil rights, community health organizations, and women's groups.
Kathy has a Master's degree in Legal, Ethical & Historical Studies from University of Baltimore, and a Management and Business degree from Towson University. Since starting at LAA in 2008, Kathy's hard work and connections have brought in many new donors and sponsors resulting in a record number of contributions.
